Presenting at Refresh Teeside in Middlesborough

Refresh Teesside is monthly meetup for the digital and creative industries held on the second Wednesday of every month at Capaldi’s in Middlesborough.  This month I attended my third event and I was very grateful to have been invited to speak on the benefits of giving a workshop.

I think the presentation itself went well.  I still get incredibly nervous before a talk but I am starting to feel more confident structuring the content and inviting audience participation. The preparation takes me a lot of time so it was rewarding to receive comments from people saying they felt inspired.  That was my number one aim: To inspire people to give workshops. 

Refresh Teeside is a wonderfully relaxed event where a bunch of like minded people meet to network, chat, enjoy good food and company.  I’ve always admired James for the atmosphere he has created there.  You should go to the next one but in the mean-time you can check them out on facebook and twitter.  I’m sure everyone would appreciate a tweet or two about the event as well.  Did I mention there’s free food sponsored by Thap?
